Willie D. McDonald

A Celebration of Life service for Willie D. McDonald, 79 of Guys, TN is set for Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Military Honors with burial at Lorraine Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 1:00pm until service time. Born January 21, 1939 in Alcorn County, MS. Willie was a retired steel worker with 31 years of service at Bethlehem Steel Company in Burns Harbor, IN. and of the Baptist faith. He was a retired U. S. Army veteran. Willie loved his family and friends and enjoyed working in the garden and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Louella "Lou" Markley McDonald of Guys, TN.; daughter, Samantha Puckett and husband Brian of Schererville, IN.; stepdaughters, Wendy Banks of Tacoma, WA. and Kristol Lewis and husband Mike of Portage, IL; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, William Clayton McDonald, Jr of Michie, TN.; other relatives and a host of friends. Willie is preceded in death by his father, William Clayton McDonald; mother, Hazel Mae Barnes McDonald; stepsons, William Van Well and Louis Schwei; and his sisters, Willie Mae McDonald and Lillie Mae McDonald Jernigan.
