Willie Joe Jackson

A Celebration of Life service for Willie Joe Jackson, 79 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Wheeler Grove Cemetery. Dr. Kara Blackard and Bro. Shane Evetts will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2019 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Jackson was born July 5, 1940 in Alcorn County, MS to Joe and Martha Wilson Jackson. He passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at his residence. He retired as a factory worker for Intex after 30+ years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Willie Joe is survived by his son, David Jackson (Cary) of Corinth, MS; his daughters, Debora Jackson Morelock (Darron) of Corinth, MS and Donna Jackson Chase (Donnie) of Corinth, MS; 6 grandchildren, Andrea Huddleston (Jon), Nathan Morelock (Amanda), Daniel Chase (Angileah), Denise Chase, Cody Jackson (Tiffany) and Kristen Jackson; 6 great-grandchildren, Landon Huddleston, Hadley Huddleston, Brooks Huddleston, Parker Huddleston, Millie Claire Morelock and Hayden Jackson; his brother, Larry Jackson of Rienzi, MS; his sisters, Roberta Duncan (Jr.) of Rienzi, MS and Elaine Davis of Corinth, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Martha Wilbanks Jackson; his father, Joe Jackson; his mother, Martha Wilson Jackson Rinehart; his brother, Alton Eugene Jackson; his sisters, Katherine Smith and Martha "Bonnie" Braddock and his maternal grandmother, Ota May Maynard. Pallbearers will be Andrea Huddleston, Nathan Morelock, Daniel Chase, Denise Chase, Cody Jackson and Kristen Jackson. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Willie Joe Jackson.
