Willie B Glidewell

Willie B. Glidewell, 83, of Burnsville, MS, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. He was born in Tippah County, MS on November 19, 1932 to the late Daniel B. and Ella Hodum Glidewell. Willie B was a Christian and the owner of an auto body shop. Visitation is scheduled from 5-9 PM Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Magnolia Funeral Home and from 1 PM till service time Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church. A celebration of Willie B's life will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Temple Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Gerald Glidewell and Bro. Ricky Glidewell. Interment will follow at Temple Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Cory Glidewell, J.J. Glidewell, Chris Orr, Josh Stricklen, Kyle Stricklen, Chad Glidewell, Steven Glidewell and Bro. Sean Glidewell. Magnolia Funeral Home is caring for the family. Those left to honor Willie B's memory include his sons: Bruce Glidewell of Burnsville, MS, Barry Glidewell and wife Diane of Burnsville, MS, Boo Glidewell and wife Becky of Burnsville, MS, Tim Glidewell of Burnsville, MS; his daughter: Barbara Dobbins and husband Mike of Corinth, MS; 13 grandchildren: Cory Glidewell and wife Nikki, J.J. Glidewell and wife Misty, Christy Glidewell, Angie Winters and husband John, Jennifer Talley and husband Jon, Stephanie Strickland and husband Justin, Chris Orr and wife Kari, Josh Stricklen and wife Hillary, Kyle Stricklen and wife Virginia, Chad Glidewell, Chelsey Bobo and husband Tyler, Steven Glidewell and wife Taylor and Bro. Sean Glidewell; 20 very special great-grandchildren; a special friend: Dutch Porterfield; other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years: Peggy Sue Glidewell; his daughter: Beverly Orr; his brothers: Walter Glidewell, Georgie Glidewell, Marshall Glidewell, Jackie Glidewell, Edward Glidewell, Robert Glidewell; his sister: Lottie Mae Calvary; and his great-granddaughter: Averleigh Winters.
