William Thomas “Bill” Godwin, Sr., 56, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born in Meridian, MS on September 11, 1963 to the late Bobby and Pat Godwin and was a member of Agape World Overcoming Christian Center, Pastor Doris Day, where he served as deacon. Bill was employed in maintenance for Tennessee Valley Regional Housing Authority and will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 pm Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Rutherford Memorial Gardens officiated by Pastor W.T. Godwin Jr. The family requests that masks and social distancing be adhered to. Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Bill’s memory include his wife of 34 years: Tracy Godwin of Corinth; his son, William Thomas Godwin Jr. (Deshante) of Corinth; his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Godwin (Chris Harrell) of Corinth; his grandchildren, Isaac Godwin, Annasophia Elizabeth Godwin, and Gabriel Josiah Godwin; his brothers, Jimmy Godwin of NC, Johnny Godwin of NY, and Bobby Godwin of Corinth; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
