William "Bill" Doyle Parnell

Mr. William Doyle “Bill” Parnell, 83, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Dogwood Assisted Living, in Corinth, MS. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Military Honors. Bro. Warren Jones will be officiating the service. Burial will be at White Sulphur Cemetery in Pickwick, TN. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Parnell was born on July 20, 1934 in Humbolt, TN. to the late Hugh Parnell and Allie Doyle Parnell. He served his country in the United States Air Force, and was Vice-President of JPS Industries. Mr. Parnell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corinth. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Shirley Maddox Parnell of Counce, TN; one daughter Renee' Parnell of Corinth; one grand-daughter, Chelsea Parnell; Step Sons: Terry Mitchell of Counce, TN and Brian Mitchell and wife, Stacie of Corinth; four step-grandchildren, Cody Mitchell of Starkville, MS, Avery Mitchell of Baton Rouge, LA, Weston Mitchell of Corinth, and Belle Mitchell of Corinth; and two step great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Chris Moore, Daniel Fowler, Mike Maddox, David Byrd, Peck Boggs and Jimmy Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Parnell, mother, Allie Doyle Parnell, and his first wife and mother of his daughter, Renee', Shirley Taylor Parnell.
