A Celebration of Life for William “Bill” Alfred Nash, 67 of Iuka, MS, will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:00 P M at New Liberty Baptist Church in Burnsville, MS with interment to follow at Valley of the Dogwood Cemetery. Bro. Raybon Richardson and Bro. Edwin Kennedy will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, August 4, 2017 from 6:00 P M to 9:00 P M and Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 12:00 Noon until service time at New Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Nash passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Hospital. Born August 1, 1950, he was a retired floor installer and was of the Southern Baptist faith and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. He loved reading his Bible and talking about Jesus. He enjoyed playing golf and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan, especially Ole Miss, Cincinnati Reds baseball and anything his grandchildren were involved in. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Nash is survived by his son, Scott Nash of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Amy Jo Johnson and husband Mike of Corinth, MS; his three grandchildren, John William “Jake” Johnson and wife Kenzi, Baileigh Johnson and Chase Johnson; his great-granddaughter, Eliza Ruth Johnson; his brother, Tim Nash and wife Reda of Burnsville, MS; his sisters, Linda Parker and husband Butch of Corinth, MS, Joan Hudson of Corinth, MS, Nelda Parker of Corinth, MS, Shirley Woodruff of Burnsville, MS and Jane Hudson of Burnsville, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Maxine Perry Nash. Pallbearers will be Jake Johnson, Chase Johnson, Mike Nash, Alan Nash, Ross Nash, Brian Hudson, Brian Wheeler and Skylor Dill.
