William “Buck” Jernigan, 88 years, 10months, 1 week, and 1 day, of Corinth, MS passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018. He was born in McNairy County, TN on September 2, 1929 to the late Alex and Mackie Pascall Jernigan and was a member of Landmark United Pentecostal Church in Stantonville, TN. Visitation is scheduled for 6 pm until, Friday, July 13, 2018 and from 11 am until service time Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Landmark United Pentecostal Church. A celebration of Buck's life will be held at 1 pm Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Landmark United Pentecostal Church officiated by Rev. Nathaniel A. Urshan and Rev. Darrell Moffett. Interment will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brian Carroll, Josh Winchell, Dusty Winchell, Lex Jones, Buddy Winchell and David Ray. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Buck’s memory includes his son: Jackie Jernigan of Corinth, MS; his daughters: Reba Winchell and husband Bill of Southaven, MS and Becky Peters and husband Britt of Corinth, MS; his grandchildren: Patricia Race and husband Robert, Brian Carroll and wife Brittany, Josh Winchell and wife Micaela, Dusty Winchell and wife Kandas, Anna Jones and husband Lex, Buddy Winchell and wife Meagan and Kaylinn Winchell; his great-grandchildren: Austin Race, Madi Race, Noah Race, Wyatt Carroll, Caleb Jones, Jared Winchell, Braidon Winchell, Brody Winchell, Preston Winchell, Madelyn Winchell, Addy Winchell, Tucker Talley, Lily Kay Winchell, and Brandon Gibson; other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to his parents Buck was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years: Kay Jernigan; his brothers: Sanford Jernigan and Clarence Jernigan; and his sisters: Rosie Jernigan, Opal Lowrance, Alcie Kilcrease, Ruby Wilson, Lula Locke, Mae Kirk, and Jewel Ray.
