Graveside services with Military Honors are set for William Edward Chelmowski, Sr, 74 of Corinth on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 1:00pm at Corinth National Cemetery. Born December 13, 1944 in St. Joseph, MO, William passed away on December 31, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He worked at Hall Printing in Chicago and Corinth, PC Support in Albuquerque, New Mexico and ran High Valley Software in Staley, New Mexico writing and supporting software for Sandia National Lab and an Indian Pueblo. William was a SP4 in the regular Army where he volunteered for Vietnam Service (1965-1966) at Lai Khe, RVN with the 33rd Artillery, 1st Infantry Division. He is a member of St. James Catholic Church. William is survived by his wife of 6 years, Judy Shelmowski of Corinth, son, Bill Chelmowski and wife Barbara of Corinth; daughters, Melinda Chelmowski and Trisha Stephneson and husband Scott all of Corinth; stepsons, Andy Carruth and wife Madelyn of Amory and Daniel Carruth and wife Tiffany of Hamilton, AL; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Chelmowski of New Mexico; other relatives and a host of friends. William is preceded in death by his beloved first wife Brenda Chelmowski; father, George John Chelmowski; mother, Martha Leighty Chelmowski and sister, Sallie Ann Tucker. Pallbearers will be Billy Chelmowski, Tommy Chelmowski, T. J. Spencer, Andrew Miller, Bill Chelmowski and Scott Stephenson. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Salvation Army, VFW "Unmet Needs" or St James Catholic Church. Father Mario Solórzano will officiate the service.
