William Reuben Carpenter

William Reuben Carpenter, 79, of Gautier, MS passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 9:00am - 11:00am at Magnolia Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00am at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Booneville, MS. Mr. Carpenter was born July 28, 1935 and he worked at Ingram Barge Company and Coastal Towing as a towboat chief engineer for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dela Martin Carpenter and Gordon Reuben Carpenter and his brothers, Rudolf Carpenter, Larry Carpenter and Gene Carpenter, Mr. Carpenter is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judy McDuffie Carpenter; a son, William Carpenter, Jr.; 7 daughters, Joetta Carpenter Grusendorf, Rocksanna Carpenter Rose, Angela McDuffie Reed, Dela Carpenter Mullins, Stephanie McDuffie Clark, Willene Carpenter Hunewell and Daphne Carpenter; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Yvonne Carpenter Bell and 2 brothers, Gary Carpenter and Joe Carpenter; other relatives and a host of friends.
