William David Brown

A Celebration of Life for William David Brown, 88 of Soddy Daisy, TN will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Jumpertown Cemetery. Rev. Tim Edwards will officiate the service. Visitation is Friday, July 21, 2017 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Brown passed away July 19, 2017 at Soddy Daisy Health Care. He was born May 28, 1929 in Corinth, MS to the late Charlie David and Maudie Potts Brown. He was a retired truck driver for Lewis Bakery. David was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Soddy, Daisy, TN. He was a U S Army Veteran and loved trout fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Gracie Brown of Soddy Daisy, TN; his son, William Lee Brown and wife Sherry of Schlater, MS; his daughter, Sandra Brown Arnold and husband Jackie of Iuka, MS; his 12 grandchildren; his 13 great-grandchildren; his step-son, Fred Coln and wife Celinda of Chattanooga, TN; his step-daughter, Patti Yurick of Holiday, FL; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife and mother of his children, Helen Stricklen Brown; and his son, Charlie Frankie Brown. Pallbearers will be Matthew Brown, Johnathan Lovelace, Blaze Brown, Jackie Strickland and Virgil Burcham. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. William David Brown.
