Funeral services for Noland Wesley Sentell, 76 of Corinth, MS is set for Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00am at Tate Baptist Church with burial to follow in Henry Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 10:00am until service time at Tate Baptist Church. Born August 17, 1942 in Salinas, California, Wesley passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at TN State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN., surrounded by his wife and children listening to southern gospel music, Wesley had his eternal homecoming during a family prayer. Wesley was the custodian at Tate Baptist Church for many years where he was also a member. He was a loving and faithful husband, daddy and grandfather who was a corny joke teller and loved to laugh. Wesley enjoyed making afghans which he gave as gifts on all occasions. He loved studying God’s word and was a mighty prayer warrior. Wesley was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam war where he received several decorations including the Bronze Star medal. He is survived by his wife of 48 ½ years, Pellie T. Sentell of Corinth; son, Edwin Sentell of Corinth; daughters, Christy Sentell Jacobs and husband Steve of Blue Ridge, Virginia and Beth Sentell Powers and husband Shaun of Jackson, TN; grandchildren: Hannah Jacobs, Logan Jacobs, Tucker Jacobs, Lucy Powers, Ruby Powers and Baby Powers; brother, Robert “Bob” Sentell and wife Regina of Nashville, TN; sister, Anne Sentell Hughes and husband Bill of Raleigh, N.C.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Wesley is preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Wesley Sentell; mother, Stella Drew Love Sentell and sister, Lydia Sentell Wilson and husband Thurston. Bob Sentell, Charlie Browning and Bro. Mickey Trammel will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Logan Jacobs, Tucker Jacobs, Nate Wilson, Allen Wilson, Troy Tumberlinson, Rob Sentell, Will Sentell, Jason Hill and Steve Hughes. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Noland Wesley Sentell.
