Wayne King

Services for Charles Wayne King, 84, of Corinth, MS, were held at Magnolia Funeral Home on January 3, 2023, with ministers Frank Williams and John Wagnon officiating. Mr. King died Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS He was born November 12, 1938, in Alcorn County, MS. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force before returning to Corinth to lead King Manufacturing Company beside his dad. After leaving the company, he worked at Caterpillar, Inc. until he retired. Survivors include a daughter, Kristie King Bugg (Doran) of Dallas TX; son, Charles Rodney King (Lisa) of Corinth, MS; their mother and his first wife, Vonnie Caldwell King; daughter, Jessica King McCullar; sisters, Sandy King Arnold (David) of Corinth, MS, and Betty King Robertson of Michie, TN; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh William King and Mary Lee Lipford King; sister, Mary Dale King Cranford; his second wife, Deborah Isbell King, and son, Jacob King. Wayne was a member of Oak Hill Christian Church. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Charles Wayne King.
