Virginia M. Smith

A Celebration of Life Service for Virginia M. Smith, 94 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00 A M at Shiloh Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.  Bro. Philip Caples and Bro. Ron Mitchell will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9:00 A M until service time at Shiloh Baptist Church.  Mrs. Smith passed away, Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.   She was born June 17, 1929 in Corinth, MS to Booker Meeks and Lottie Dellinger Meeks.  She was a retired school teacher and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.  Virginia enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers and crafting flowers.  She loved coffee and spending time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughter and great granddaughter.   Virginia is survived by her daughter, Janet Alexander; her granddaughter, Kimberly White (Stan); her great granddaughter, Allie Claire White; her brothers, Troy Meeks, Floyd Meeks (Maxine) and Alvin Meeks; her sister, Nelda Mitchell (Bro. Ron); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Booker Meeks; her mother, Lottie Dellinger Meeks; her brothers, Marvin Meeks, Elmer Meeks and Bobby Meeks: her sister, Ilene Wilbanks and her son-in-law, Don Alexander.  Pallbearers will be Steve Wilbanks, Ronald Meeks, Edwin Meeks, John Meeks, Jonathan Mitchell, Russell Meeks and Mark Meeks.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Virginia M. Smith.
