Virginia "Katie" Gann

A Celebration of Life service for Virginia "Katie" Juanita Gann, 81 of Rienzi, MS., is set for Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 11:00am at Rienzi Baptist Church with interment in Wheeler Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 10:00am until service time at Rienzi Baptist Church. Born December 4, 1937 in Sledge, MS., Katie passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Tishomingo Manor. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed cooking and making treats for any and everyone, spending time with her grandchildren and serving at her church. She had a very giving heart and was always helping others. Katie is survived by her son, Andy Gann and wife Vicki of Corinth; daughter, Mitzi Gann Pitt and husband Will of Maryville, TN; 5 grandchildren, Drew Gann, Victoria Gann Armstrong and husband Cade, Emili Gann, Zack Pitt and Kylie Pitt; great grandchildren, Lylah Armstrong and Zane Armstrong; brother, Bob Jenkins and wife Dot of Starkville, MS; sister, Helen Bailey of Senatobia, MS; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Wiley Gann, her father, Zack Jenkins and her mother, Robbie Wheeler Jenkins. Pallbearers will be Noble Williams , Doug Johnson, William Perry, Harold Palmer, Jerry Palmer, Rodney Palmer, Randal Nash and Dwight Tolleson.
