A Celebration of Life service for Wayne Carter, 76 of Corinth, MS, will be Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 A M at Greater Life Pentecostal Church with interment to follow at Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Callahan, Rev. Trent Spencer and Rev. Dewayne Kirk will officiate the service. Visitation will be Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 5:00 P m to 9:00 P M and Monday, July 2, 2018 from 10:00 A M until service time at Greater Life Pentecostal Church. Mr. Carter passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his residence in Corinth. He was born November 17, 1941 in Memphis, TN to Dewey Carter and Elmer Richardson Carter. He was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of Greater Life Pentecostal Church. He served his country in the U S Army. Wayne is survived by his wife of 55 years, Earlene Carter of Corinth, MS; his son, Dewayne Carter an wife Pamela of Munford, AL; his daughter, Cynthia Shear and husband Charles of Corinth, MS; 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Perkins (Marcus), Erin Shear and Kaitlyn Shear; 2 great-grandchildren, Lydia Perkins and Jaxon Perkins; 4 step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Watson of Corinth, MS; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Kenneth Carter and Timothy Carter; his father, Dewey Carter; his mother, Elmer Richardson Carter; his brothers, Clovis Carter, Leon Carter, Bobby Carter and Obie Carter and his sister, Lois Carter. Pallbearers will be Jake Garrett, Marcus Perkins, John Simms, Brian Osbirn and A.J. Carter. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family Mr. Wayne Carter.
