Velma Owens

Velma Borden Roach Owens passed away at her home in Glen, MS at the age of 88. Mrs. Owens was born in Iuka, MS, March 29, 1922 to the late Arthur William and Dora Patrick Borden. She worked in the shipyard for two years during World War II. Her family went to Detroit where she worked at Allied Food Stores as a meat cutter for 38 years. She is survived by her 5 Grandchildren: Raymond Casto and wife Sherry, Sandra Casto Jenkins and husband Jimmy, James Casto and wife Diane, Mark Casto, Tonja Gail Roach Porchia 10 Great Grandchildren 4 Great Great Grandchildren Brother: Charles Borden and wife Shirley – Glen, MS Sister: Lois Harmon – Detroit, Michigan Sister-In-Law: Doris Borden - Corbin, KY Other Relatives and a Host of Friends She was welcomed to heaven by her first Husband: Elmer Roach Second Husband: William Owens Sons: James Allen Roach, Jerry Wayne Roach Daughter: Barbara Anne Roach Casto Parents: Arthur William and Dora Patrick Borden Brother: L.V.
