A Service of Remembrance for Turner L. Garrett, 88 of Walnut, MS will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Middleton Pentecostal Tabernacle with interment to follow at Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. David Nabors and Pastor Tim Wilbanks. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. and Thursday 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Middleton Pentecostal Tabernacle. Mr. Garrett passed away peacefully Monday, March 22, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. He was born December 5, 1932 in Alcorn County, MS to Chuck and Carlie Garrett. He was a retired pattern cutter for Bench Craft. Mr. Garrett enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, gardening, yard work, and being outdoors. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Joyce Garrett of Walnut, MS; children, Greg Garrett and wife Rene of Hernando, MS, Mike Garrett and wife Wanda of Walnut, MS, Connie Wilbanks and husband Tim of Walnut, MS, Tim Garrett and wife Rhonda of Kossuth, MS and Tonja Nabors and husband David of Walnut, MS; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; his sisters Vernell Null of Walnut, MS and Bernice Kirby of Corinth, MS, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Carlie Garrett. Pallbearers include Adam Wilbanks, Jacob Wilbanks, Corey Garrett, Cody Garrett, Will Nabors, Justin Waldon, Andrew Jones, and Joshua Wilbanks.
