Funeral services for Truman Estes South, 74 of Burnsville, MS is set for Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel with interment at Antioch Freewill Baptist Church in Burnsville, MS. with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel. Born June 4, 1945 in Prentiss County, MS, Truman passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at North MS Medical Center in Iuka. He was a retired foreman for Tishomingo County Electric Power Association and a member of Burnsville Tabernacle. Truman is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty South of Burnsville; daughter, Donna Woodard and Dennis Modlin of Burnsville;
grandchild, Matthew Reiner; brother, Noel South of Iuka, MS; brother-n-law: Garvin Walker of Burton, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Estes Taylor South; mother, Audie Belue South; brothers, J.T. South, Bobby Joe South, Charles South, Mackey South and Wallace South; sisters, Melvolin Walker and Earnestine Trimble. Bro. Sheldon Lambert will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be David Nixon, Randy Mincey, Scotty James, Taylor Walker, Bubba Carpenter and Gary South. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Modlin, L.C. Gilcrest and Robert Allen "Brady" Wright.
