Service: Friday, February 22, 2013, 2:00 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories Interment: Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery--Corinth, MS Biographical Information Date of Birth: October 10, 1919 Employment/Occupation: Auto Parts Salesman and Cattle farmer. Worked for Moses for over 30 years, and then retired from Auto Supply with 22 years of service. Veteran: He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII and served on the USS Carlton. He was a POW in Germany for 33 months. He was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a member of the local American Legion and VFW. Church Affiliation: He was an active member of South Corinth Baptist Church until his health failed him. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, and baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a people person and a humble man, who never said anything bad about anyone. He always found the good in everyone. Survivor Information Wife of 60 years: Ora Rencher Winters – Corinth, MS Sons: Tommy Winters (Joycie) of Corinth, Russell Winters (Peggy) of Rienzi, and John Winters (Angie) of Corinth. Daughters: Beverly L. Clifton (Claude) of Corinth, Ginger Tapp (John) of Corinth Brother: Bill Winters (Linda) of Corinth, 10 Grandchildren: Tom Winters (Becky), Chrissy Houston (James), Doug Tapp (Amber), Summer Baswell, Rhonda Glidewell (Larry), April Clifton, Ashleigh Winters, Zach Winters, Eli Winters, and Carrie Kuykendall. 13 Great-Grandchildren: Jacob, Peyton, and Kinley Winters, Kaitlyn and Madison Houston, Jimmy and Aiden Tapp, Tyler and Riley Lancaster, Russ Clifton, Alex Smith, Victor Kuykendall, and Ivan Flanders. 3 Step Great Grandchildren: Curtis Glidewell (Courtney), Jake Glidewell, and Gracie Glidewell.
