Funeral services for Troy Lee James, 92 of Walnut, MS are set for Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home with burial at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home. Troy was born November 22, 1927 in Alcorn County, MS and passed from this life on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service. Troy was of the Baptist faith and attended 5th Street Baptist Church in Iuka. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eva Joyce James of Walnut; his son, David James and wife, Lisa of Iuka; granddaughter, Kaitlin C. Fuentes, sister, Lily Mae Norton of Bakersfield, CA; other relatives and a host of friends. Troy is preceded in death by his father, Claude James; mother, Dorthy Derrick James and his sister, Marie Plymale. Shirley Woodruff and Bro. Tony Curtis will officiate the service.
