Tony Luke Cartwright

Tony Luke Cartwright, 53 of Ramer, TN passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Funeral services with Military Honors are set for Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial to follow in Zion Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 11:00am until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Bro. Nathan Hood, Rev. John Creasy and Ricky Gibens will officiate the service. Mr. Cartwright was born February 26, 1963 in Hammond, IN. He was a Correctional Officer for CCA and was the owner and operator of Cartwright Search and Rescue K9 Unit. He enjoyed training K9 rescue dogs and loved working with various search and rescue agencies. He will forever be remembered for his tireless work as a groundskeeper at Zion Pentecostal Church. He was a fighter, a warrior and a cancer survivor. Tony brought everyone closer to God through his gift of laughter and enjoyed every moment of it. His love for his family matched his love for his God, and we are sure that his joy for life is greater now than ever. He was a member of Zion Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife of 13 years: Lisa Cartwright – Ramer, TN; son: Danny Joe Mason and wife Denise - Michie, TN; daughter: Shannon Clifton and husband Jason – Corinth, MS; 2 grandchildren: Collin Clifton and Jaden Clifton; mother: Glenda Howard Gammill – Corinth, MS ; brother: Billy Cartwright - Greenville, Kentucky; sister: Geraldine Miller and husband William - Browder, Kentucky; numerous Aunts. Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and a Host of Friends. Tony was preceded in death by his father: Billy Luke Cartwright; stepfather: Tommy Joe Gammill and a brother: Terry Lee Cartwright. Pallbearers will be Terry Jestice, Michael Hall, Tyler Perser, Kevin Baker, James Henderson, Benjamen Lax. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pastor Allen Milam, Michael Pegg, T. J. Smith, Kevin Browder, Stephen Rickman, Allen Lyles, Jimmy Bullard, Chuck Vineyard, Estella Vineyard, William Branum, Chris Hammond, Ashley Vineyard, Andrew Couchoud, Grady Perry, Daniel Akers and a host of Captains from CCA.
