Tommy Thompson

Tommy Thompson, 74 of Rienzi, MS passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his residence. Visitation will be Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at Biggersville First Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow at Magnolia Gardens. Tommy was born on June 1, 1947 in Booneville, MS to the late Codie Dean Thompson and Vera Davis Thompson, was a US Army Veteran, and was a member of Biggersville First Baptist Church. He owned Thompson’s Gravel Pit and served as an Alcorn County Sheriff’s Deputy for 22 years. Tommy is survived by his daughters, Stacey C. Thompson, Dana M. Thompson, and Mercedes S. Thompson; his grandchildren, Ayden D. Wren and Davien C. Wren; his sisters, Gloria Huggins and Rachel Miller; other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Elaine Thompson and by his daughter, Cynthia Dawn Thompson.
