A Celebration of Life service with Military Honers for Thurman Zebedee Beene, 73 of Glen, MS, will be Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Bro. Jon Haimes and Bro. Charles Stephenson will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, October 5, 2018 from 11:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Beene passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at his residence in Glen, MS. He was born October 18, 1944 in Ada, Oklahoma to Oval Zebedee Beene and Martha Belle Vaughn Beene. He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, bird watching and being outdoors. He loved shooting pool, camping, fishing, quilting and being with his family. Thurman is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon Beene of Glen, MS; his sons, Phillip Z. Beene of Corinth, MS and Bruce A. Beene (Allison) of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Andrea LaKae Beene of Corinth, MS; eight grandchildren, Derek Beene (Amanda), Audra Dilworth (Julio), Joel Beene (Emily), Austin Beene, Daniel Beene, Kelcey Beene, Liam Beene and Katy Beene; seven great-grandchildren, Evii Beene, Ella Beene, Thomas Beene, Bentlee Beene, Elye Beene, Benjamen Beene and Arielle Beene; his brothers, Leonard "Doc" Beene of Shawnee, OK and Don Everett Beene (Jerri) of Ada, OK and Dewey Joe Beene, Sr. (Jeannie) of Shawnee, OK; his sister, Helen Ruth Rutledge of Stratford, OK; his brother-in-Law, Richard Rackley of Ada, OK; his best friends, Oran and Virginia Dew of Kingston, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Clifford Beene; his father, Oval Zebedee Beene; his mother, Martha Bell Vaughn Beene and his sister, Brenda Kay Rackley. Pallbearers will be Derek Beene, Joel Beene, Austin Beene, Daniel Beene, Benson Skelton and Brandon Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers will be "Doc" Beene, Don Everett Beene, Dewey Joe Beene, Sr. and Oran Dew. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Thurman Zebedee Beene.
