Teresa Lynn Mathis Hernandez, 50, of Walnut, MS passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Tippah County, MS on July 19, 1966 to the late Kenneth and Polly Smith Mathis. Teresa was a member of Theo Church of Christ and worked as a seamstress. Visitation is scheduled to start at 7 PM Monday, October 17, 2016 and will continue until service time Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. A celebration of Teresa's life will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church officiated by Kenny James, Charlie Browning and Ron Adams. Interment will follow in Campground cemetery. Pallbearers include James Smith, Robbie Mullins, Jeff Null, Mickey Mathis, Joe Holt and Gene Crum. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Teresa's memory include her daughter: Amy Agee (Mitch) of Middleton, TN; her sons: Jesse Collins (Ashley Wilbanks) of Walnut, MS and Jacob Hernandez of Walnut, MS; her grandchildren: Landon Agee, Journie Agee and Wesley Collins; her brothers: Kendal Mathis and Charlie Mathis both of Walnut, MS; her sisters: Debbie Lormendez (Jesus) of Walnut, MS and Kim Holt (Joe) of Walnut, MS; 1 niece, 8 nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
