Shirley Temple Rickett

A Celebration of Life service for Shirley Temple Rickett, 76 of Corinth, MS, will be Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Pine Mountain Cemetery. Bro. Larry Marshall will officiate the service. Visitation will be Monday, March 12, 2018 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mrs. Rickett passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Booneville, MS. She was born May 7, 1941 in Alcorn County, MS to Clifton Derrick and Pearl Ann Ham Derrick. She retired as an assembler at ITT with 24 years of service. She was of the Holiness faith and was a member of Grissom Chapel Church. Shirley is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jimmy Rickett of Corinth, Ms; her sons, Joey Rickett and wife Lylaine of Corinth, MS and Jarvis Jerome Gay and wife Ella of Corinth, MS; her daughters, Debbie Marshall and husband Bro. Larry of Glen, MS and Sharon Burnett of Corinth, MS; 14 grandchildren, Ashley Crosslin (Jimmy), Justin Rickett, Taylor Rickett, Zoey Rickett, Lindsey Ballinger (David), Kelsey Carroll (Brent) Dylan Gay (Stephanie), Logan Gay, Joshua Marshall, Joel Marshall (Shandra), Joseph Marshall (Bethany Kutak), Tiffany Rena Burnett, Nicholas James Burnett, Deborah Hanna Rose Burnett; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; brothers, Autry Derrick (Betty) of Corinth, MS and Ray Derrick (Paulette) of Biggersville, MS; sisters, Vera Crum of Kossuth, MS and Ida Jones of Guys, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Derrick; her mother, Pearl Ann Ham Derrick; her brothers, Gene Derrick and Rosevelt Derrick and her sister, Lillie Settlemires. Pallbearers will be Justin Rickett, Nicholas Burnett, Dylan Gay, Joshua Marshall, Joel Marshall and Joseph Marshall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Logan Gay and Codie Newcomb. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Shirley Temple Rickett.
