Funeral services for Shelia Ann Garvin, 45, of Walnut are set for Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 3:30pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be Wednesday, October , 26, 2016 from 5-8pm and Thursday, October 26, 2016 from 2:30 pm until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. She passed from this life on Monday, October 24, 2016 after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Garvin was born September 27, 1971 in Ripley Mississippi. She was a retired Quality Controller at Automatic Machine Products for 14 years.. Shelia loved riding horses, walking, riding the back roads listening to her music, dancing and close family gatherings. She loved her family and friends and cherished all the time she could spend with her grandchildren. Shelia was a member of Holly Baptist Church. Shelia is survived by her husband: Billy Garvin – Walnut, MS; mother: Martha Mullins – Walnut, MS; son: T. J. “Jordan” Strickland- Walnut, MS; daughters: McKenzie Strickland – Walnut, MS and Alison “Ali” Strickland- Walnut, MS; step daughters: Chelsea Garvin Wheeler and husband Terence – Burnsville, Ms; Claresia Dees and husband Chad – Rienzi, MS; grandchildren: Milan DeWhitt, Maddison Dees and Olivia Dees; brother: Teddy Mullins and wife Linda – Burnsville, MS; sisters: Loretta Wilbanks and husband Greg- Kossuth, MS; Mary Crum and wife Crystal – Walnut, MS; Danita Wilbanks – Corinth, MS; 3 Half sisters: Mary Faulk and husband Mike, Darlene Calvary and Patty ; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father: Mack Mullins and a half brothers, Boyd Mullins. Bro. Warren Jones and Bro. John Boler will officiate the service.
