Sandra Jones

Sandra Jones, 75, of Corinth, MS passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center.  She was born in Alcorn County, MS on March 28, 1946 to the late Baxter and Mable Bishop Trantham and graduated from Biggersville High School in 1964. Sandra worked as a secretary for McCarley Plumbing and Service and was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.  She loved reading and enjoyed her cats and spending time with family and friends. Magnolia Funeral Home – East is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Sunday, February 13^th at Magnolia Funeral Home-East and from 1 pm till service time Monday, February 14^th at Shady Grove United Methodist Church.   A Celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at 2 pm Monday, February 14, 2022 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Rod Taylor.  Pallbearers include Nicky Shaw, Billy Willis, Steve Wallis, Jeremy Arnold, Wesley Ross, and Larry Ross. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. Those left to honor Sandra’s memory include her husband of 55 years, Larry Jones; her son, Michael Chad Jones; other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Shane Jones; and her brothers, Baxter Sherell Trantham and J.D. Trantham.
