Rufus Alfard Cornelison

A Celebration of Life service for Rufus Alfard Cornelison, 87 of Glen, MS, will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Grissom Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Rich will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 2019 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Cornelison passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born March 22, 1931 in Corinth, MS to Earmon Cornelison and Josie Bray Cornelison. He was a retired factory worker and was of the Pentecostal faith. He loved sitting on the front porch in the swing and spending time with his family. Rufus is survived by his sons, Larry Cornelison of Glen, MS, Harold Ray Cornelison of Glen, MS and Jimmy Cornelison of College Grove, TN; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Wayne Roberts (Edna) of Biggersville, MS; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mary Evelyn Cornelison; his father, Earmon Cornelison; his mother, Josie Bray Cornelison and his sister, Jewel Marlar. Pallbearers will be Casey Cornelison, Jessie Marlar, Jake Grissom, Tom Roberts, Ashton Knight and Quinton Knight. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Rufus Alfard Cornelison.
