Ronnie James Stewart, 62 of Corinth, MS, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his residence. A private family service at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories Monday, April 20, 2020, with a Celebration of Life service held at a later date, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and with concern for all our family and friends. Interment will be at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Charlie Browning and Hugh McDaniel will officiate the service. On Monday, April 20, 2020 from 8:00 A M to 12:00 P M, we invite Ronnie’s family and friends to come and sign the register book outside at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Stewart was born May 23, 1957 in Chicago, IL to James Franklin Stewart and Billie Sue Morgan Stewart. He was of the Christian (NASCAR) faith. He loved race cars of all kinds, going to the deer camp, but not necessarily going to hunt. He loved to make coffee and cook breakfast, especially for his wife. Ronnie loved all his family and friends. He was a people person and never met anyone that he couldn’t make smile. To know Ronnie was to love Ronnie.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cammy Lee Stewart of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Ashley Stewart Grimes and husband Chad of Corinth, MS; 6 grandchildren, Maggie Nunley, Drew Nunley, Jon Gage Grimes, Kayleigh Grimes, Rylan Stewart and Ansley Palmertree; other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Franklin Ryan Stewart; his father, James Franklin Stewart and his mother, Billie Sue Morgan Stewart.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Ronnie’s name to The American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Paul Ross, Jimbo Ross, Kevin Mills, Shorty Mincey, Hugh McDaniel, Bill Phillips, David Miller and Lloyd Dunn.
Honorary family pallbearers will be Danny Ray Cartwright, E. Jeff Cartwright, Larry Cartwright, Gene Davis, Todd Layman, Jeff Lee, Phil Lee, Ricky Lee, Scott Lee, David J. Morgan, Buddy Rogers, Jimmy Rogers, Ricky Stewart, Bobby Wooley and Joe Wooley.
