Ronnie Matheny

A graveside service for Ronnie Matheny, 74 of Walnut, MS, will be Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home - East. Mr. Mathney passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at his residence in Walnut, MS. He was born December 5, 1946 in Somerville, TN to Robert Matheny and Hazel Byars Matheny. He retired in quality control at Biltrite Corp. and was of the Christian faith. Ronnie is survived by his son, Shane Matheny (Alecia), his daughter, Rhonda Mercer (Deion); two grandchildren, Jordan Mercer (Erin Pounds) and Hunter Matheny; his son-in-law, Jim Kindred; his brothers, Charlie Matheny (Linda) and Ray Matheny; his sisters, Faye Hoskins and Sally Goff; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Null Matheny; his daughter, Diana “Sissy” Kindred; his father, Robert Matheny; his mother, Hazel Byars Matheny and his brother, Benny Matheny. Pallbearers will be Hunter Matheny, Levi Sides, Deion Mercer, Jim Kindred, Shane Matheny, Jordan Mercer, Todd Robinson and Candler Robinson. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Ronnie Matheny.
