Ronald A. Brawner, 82 of Corinth, MS, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born on August 21, 1938 to the late Arby and Gladys Dixon Brawner and graduated from Corinth High School in 1957. Ronald received his Bachelors Degree from Mississippi State and had a long career with Gateway Corporation eventually serving as President. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Elks Lodge in Corinth, a strong supporter of the YMCA and served as coach of Little League. Ronald was an avid fisherman, and loved music and singing having sung in different groups through the years. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 1-2 pm Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Masks and social distancing are encouraged. A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 2 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home East Chapel officiated by Bro. Dennis Smith. Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Interment will follow in Henry Cemetery. Those left to honor Ronald’s memory include his son, Kevin Brawner and wife Linda of Corinth; his former wife and companion, Peggy Gallaher Brawner of Cordova, TN; his grandchildren, Patrick Gallaher Brawner and Brook Wheeler Brawner; his nephew, Phillip Bowman and wife Audra of Ridgeland, MS; his niece, Amy Bowman of Los Angeles, CA; other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Brawner Bowman. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Music Department.
