Rodney Derrick Sr.

Rodney Derrick Sr., 62, passed away on April 14, 2025 at his residence. Born on October 22, 1963, he lived a life filled with purpose, dedication to his country and love for his family.

A proud United States Navy Veteran, Rodney served his country with honor, exemplifying the values of dedication, discipline, and service that he carried with him throughout his life.

Rodney was also a man of artistic expression; he enjoyed drawing, which allowed him to share his creative spirit with those around him.

Rodney is survived by his son, Rodney Derrick Jr.; his brother, Brad Derrick; his sister, Deborah Derrick; several nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded by his parents, Bruce and Elisa Wicker Derrick.

Rodney's life will be celebrated during a visitation on April 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Both services will take place at Magnolia Funeral Home - East, located at 2024 Hwy 72 East Annex, Corinth, MS 38834.

Rodney Derrick Sr. leaves behind a legacy of service, creativity, and dedication that will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be fondly remembered for his contributions to both his profession and his community. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
