Robert Brendan O’Donnell, Jr., 75 of Iuka, MS, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018, in the comforting presence of his loving wife Cathey, after a long battle with Parkinson’s. He was a beloved son, brother, cousin, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. In addition to his wife, Brendan leaves behind his daughter Bridget, son John Brendan and daughter Kristy. He also leaves his siblings, Estelle, Sean, Peggy, Kevin and Maureen, as well as his precious grandchildren, Evan, Gabby and Kenzie. Brendan was born on March 3, 1943 in Port Chester, NY and raised in Tampa, FL by his mother, Grace. He graduated from Jesuit High School in Tampa in 1960. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam era. He was a brilliant, loving, peaceful and proud Irishman who cherished the world and all of those in it. He will always be remembered as a man who wore a smile like no other. He was man who loved to travel the world and experience the beauty of it all. A loving man that was quick to help anyone who needed it. As always, he found his way home.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at Pickwick Pines Resort on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:30 P M. A Memorial Service is also being planned in Tampa, FL.
