Robert Eugene "Bob" Lawrence

Robert Eugene Lawrence, 85 of Corinth, MS, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Magnolia Funeral Home will host a Memorial Service on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2:00 P M. Visitation is Monday, April 2, 2018 at 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Henry Cemetery. Dr. Ralph Culp will officiate the service. He was born in Flint, Michigan October 13, 1932, to Guy and Elsie Lawson Lawrence. Bob was best known for owning and operating The White Trolley with his wife. He made many friends during that time. He also worked as a salesman for Briggs Inc. for many years. Later before retiring he worked at Lowes’. Bob’s hobby was woodworking in his shop. He was an accomplished carpenter and cabinet maker, who enjoyed making beautiful pieces of furniture for his family. Bob was a member of East Corinth Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Faye Sharp Lawrence; his sons, Donnie Lawrence (Debbie) of Corinth, MS, Johnny Sowell (Deanna) of Germantown, TN; daughters, Pat Huff-Schroder (Ken) of Omak, Washington, Joyce Ann Miles (Glen) of Walnut, MS, Nita Sue Ashcraft (Billy) of Corinth, MS and Linda Childers of Corinth, MS; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter; 3 sisters-in-law, Virginia Moss, Sue Sharp and Jo Sharp; numerous nieces , nephews, a host of friends and his beloved dog “Baby Girl”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Elsie Lawson Lawrence; his brother, Dick Lawrence; his granddaughter, Anna Lawrence; his wife’s parents, Irva and Beatrice Sharp; brothers-in-law, Sam Sharp, Loy Sharp, Carroll Sharp, Hershel Counce, Jimmy Emmons and J. B. Moss; sisters-in-law, Pam Sharp, Louise Counce and Dorothy Emmons. Memorial contributions may be made to Corinth Lions Club and Amen Food Pantry.
