Robert “Bob” Foster, 83, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Laurel, MS on September 16, 1936 to the late A.L. Foster Sr. and Frankie Giles Foster and graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in electrical engineering. Bob was a Veteran of the US Army Critical Skills Unit and was employed with STL in England for 1 year and for 30 years with ITT. He was a member of Corinth Kiwanis Club and of First Baptist Church where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and member of the Brotherhood. Due to the pandemic and out of concern for extended family and friends visitation and services will be private. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens in Laurel, MS. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Bob’s memory include his wife of 61 years: Nelia Foster of Corinth; his daughters: Jennifer Curtis and husband Daryl of Bakersfield, CA and Dorothy Fortenberry and husband Gene of Madison, MS; his grandchildren: Connor Fortenberry and wife Grace, Collin Fortenberry, Cameron Fortenberry, and Corrin Fortenberry; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: A.L. Foster Sr. and Frankie Giles Foster; and his brothers: A.L. Foster Jr. and Mack Foster.
