Rickey Talley

A Celebration of Life service for Rickey Talley, 70 of Kossuth, MS, will be Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 P M at Unity Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 10, 2017 from 5:00 P M to 10:00 P M and Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 12:00 noon until service time at Unity Baptist Church. Bro. Excail Burleson and Bro. Jonathan Wilbanks will officiate the service. Mr. Talley passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born October 19, 1947 in Kossuth, MS to R. C. Talley and Hester Parrish Talley. He was a self employed truck driver with Rickey Talley Trucking and was a graduate of Kossuth High School. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Tishomingo Chapel Baptist Church. Rickey loved camping, fishing, hunting, working in his shop and driving his truck. He is survived by his wife, Judy Talley of Kossuth, MS; his sons, Kenny Talley (Tammy) of Kossuth, MS and David Talley (Terry) of Kossuth, MS; his 3 grandchildren, Neil Talley (Micaela Burress), Shannon Essary (Chad) and Shane Modlin (Christy); his 6 great-grandchildren, Tucker Talley, Logan Essary, Hailey Essary, C. J. Essary, Bryce Modlin and Bailey Modlin; his brother, Thomas Talley (Deloris) of Walnut, MS; his sister, Margaret Strickland (Jerry) of Kossuth, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jennifer Talley; his father R. C. Talley, his mother Hester Parrish Talley and his sister, Kathlyn Franks. Pallbearers will be Carl Jamieson, Jason Sanders, Tony Mask, Teddy Mask, Junior Beckham, Gary Barnes, Phil Crum and Timmy Peters. Honorary Pallbearers will be R. H. Logging, Tom Morrow and Hull Davis. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Rickey Talley.
