A private family service for Richard Lee Turner, 65 of Rienzi, MS will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home-East Chapel. Bro. Trent Spencer and Bro. William Cook will officiate the service. Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 11:00 A M to 1:30 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home-East. Mr. Turner passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born September 20, 1954 in Memphis, TN to Lee Turner and Kathryn Schrimsher Dawson. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of Hilltop Church of God. Richard is survived by wife of 12 years, Kathy Turner of Rienzi, MS; his son, Brandon Turner (Jordyn) of Pontotoc, MS; his daughters, Debra White (Randal) of Saltillo, MS, Amanda Turner (Jacky) of Pontotoc, MS and Nicki Woodruff (Brock) of Jacinto, MS; 12 grandchildren, Breanna Pumphrey (Matthew) Anna White, Jonah White, Richard James A. Franks, Kyla McLemore (Nathan), Kayla Adams (Tyler), Katelyn Franks, T.J. Franks, Matthew Turner, Emma Turner, Delaney Sartain and Carlee Grissom; 2 great grandchildren, Oliver Pumphrey and Baby McLemore; his brother, Thomas Dodds of Booneville, MS; his sister, Doris Grubbs (Willis) of New Albany, MS; his brothers-in-Law, Michael Brown (Diane) of Iuka, MS, Tim Brown of Rienzi, MS and Kenneth Brown (Buffy) of Mathiston, MS; his sister-in-law, Donna Wheeler (Mike) of Burnsville, MS; his father-in-law, W.C. Hall (Barbara) of New Albany, MS; his mother-in-law, Nella Vee Brown of Rienzi, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Turner; his mother, Kathryn Schrimsher Dawson; his father-in-law, Mark T. Brown and 3 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
