Richard “Dick” Spink, 88, of Glen, MS, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Born in Louisville, KY on November 28, 1934 to the late Oscar and Helen Watkins Spink, Dick served his country in both the Army and Navy Reserve. He worked for many years in the printing industry, starting with Kable Printing in Mt. Morris, IL and later moved to Corinth in 1976 working at Halls Printing where he later retired. Dick’s love of golf was well known and he spent many happy hours playing the game. He loved to tell stories, spend time with those he loved, and will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Magnolia Funeral Home - East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Dick’s memory include his wife of 40 years, Toni Spink of Glen; his combined children, Traci Ackerman of Bixby, OK, David Spink of Rienzi, MS, Debbie Anderson of Rockford, IL, Chris Spink of Burnsville, MS, Michelle Bennett of Henning, TN, Chris Halverson of Oregon, IL, and Tim Halverson of Memphis, TN; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his stepsister, Joyce M. Harris; other relatives and a host of friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Helen Watkins Spink.
