Richard Ellis Reeves, Sr., 76, of Corinth, Mississippi passed away June 25, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born to the late Muriel and Ellis Reeves, September 11, 1936, in Helena, Arkansas. Richard was a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a BA in Business Administration. He was a personnel manager at ITT for twenty-seven years. Richard was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corinth, Mississippi. He loved our annual family beach trips, fishing, and camping, but nothing compared to spending time with his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy! Richard leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Julia Biddle Reeves; one daughter, Joy Reeves Murrah and husband Casey; one son, Rich Reeves and wife Katie; five grandchildren, Ashton Murrah, John Ellis Murrah, Ellie Kate Reeves, Payton Reeves, and Parker Reeves. One sister, Nancy Reeves Wooten and husband Harry; one honorary brother, Arie Vance; special brother-in-law, Johnny Biddle and wife Pat. Nephews: Mike Biddle, Harry Wooten, Jr., Clark Wooten, and Mark Wooten; special niece, Dee McCrackin; special friend, Bob Grobmyer. Visitation will be at Magnolia Funeral home Friday, June 28, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm. The body will lie in state, Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 2 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Corinth. Pallbearers will be Mike Biddle, John Biddle, Harry Wooten, Jr., Clark Wooten, Mark Wooten, Barrett Wooten, Blair Wooten, and Will Wooten. Honorary pallbearers include Adult III Men’s class of First Baptist Church, Corinth and former employees of ITT. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, 501 Main Street, Corinth, MS.
