The family of Reba Jean Huggins and Silvain Louis Mahler invites you to join them in the celebration of their lives on January 30, 2016 at Magnolia Funeral Home at 2:00 P M. Reba and Lou left this life on Saturday, January 17, 2016 due to a house fire to be with our Lord. Visitation is Saturday, January 30 2016 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Lou was born on April 28, 1931 in the Netherlands. He immigrated to the USA on February 27, 1957. He was an intelligent, quick witted man with dry humor. He worked at multiple jobs throughout his life, even owning his own mechanic shop at one time. He retired from World Color. Reba was born March 11, 1940. She was a lifelong homemaker and gardener. She had a multitude of friends and was loved by everyone who met her, young and old alike. Her family depended on her wisdom for advice and her homemade biscuits with canned tomatoes. Lou and Reba found each other later in life, but they had a special friendship that will continue beyond this life to the hereafter. The love they had for each other was apparent to everyone who spent time with them. They shared a love of hummingbirds, gardening and music. They enjoyed spending time with their children, grandchildren and church family. They were members of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. Lou left this life to be remembered by a son, Lance Mahler of Alabama and a daughter, Lisa Mahler of California; 4 special “daughters”, Reathie Dyson of Corinth, MS., Teresa Burcham of Corinth, MS., Jennie Cartwright (Tim Malone) of Rienzi, MS. and Mary Meeks (John Woodruff) of Glen, MS.; 3 brothers, Leo Mahler of the Netherlands, Siegfried Mahler of the Netherlands and Michael Mahler of the Netherlands; 2 sisters, Meis and Gemma of the Netherlands; his sister-in-law, Margaret Mahler of Californis; 2 nieces, Debby de Haas and Benita Hiner; 3 great nieces, Britany de Haas, Cassandra Hiner and Briana Hiner; and 1 great nephew, Brandon de Haas. Lou has joined in everlasting life, his soul mate, Reba Huggins; his former wife, Dorothy Mahler; his father, Siegfried Mahler; his mother Cecilia Mahler and his brother, Dave Mahler. Reba left this life to be remembered by her four daughters, Reathie Dyson of Corinth, MS., Teresa Burcham of Corinth, MS., Jennie Cartwright (Tim Malone) of Rienzi, MS. and Mary Meeks (John Woodruff) of Glen, MS.; her 12 grandchildren, Ricky Burcham, Joey Dyson, Wendell Huggins, Kevin Cartwright, Loyd Meeks, Michael Meeks, Belinda Mathis, Tonya Wilson, Twana Bowden, Sherry Oxner, Jessica Burcham and Rebecca Cartwright; 23 great-grandchildren; her brothers Clifton Wilkins of Burnsville, MS. and Nathan Wilkins of Tupelo, MS. Reba has joined in everlasting life, her soul mate, Lou Mahler; her former husband Roy Huggins; her son Willard Huggins, her great-grandson, Cody Bowden; her father, Bilbo Wilkins; her mother Lillian Borden Wilkins and her brother William Wilkins.
