Ray D Glidewell

A Celebration of Life service for Ray D Glidewell, 91 of Corinth, MS, will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Gerald Glidewell, Diane Chester, Charlie Browning and Tepen Hamm will officiate the service. Mr. Glidewell passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at MS Care Center in Corinth, MS. He was born in Tippah County, MS to Daniel Glidewell and Ella Hodum Glidewell. He was a carpenter/farmer and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Tippah County, MS. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bobbie Ruth Hastings Glidewell of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Dianne Glidewell Lambert-Chester and husband Steve of Eads, TN; special grandchildren, Tepen Hamm (Tyler), Isabell Goad and Jamie Goss; sisters, Viola Yancey of Ripley, MS, Mary Alice Walters of Corinth, MS and Dorothy Null of Corinth, MS; sister-in-law, Bertie Glidewell of Iuka, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Glidewell; his mother, Ella Hodum Glidewell; brothers, Jackie Glidewell, Edward Glidewell, Willie B. Glidewell, Walter Glidewell, Georgie Glidewell, Marshall Glidewell and Robert Earl Glidewell and sister, Lottie Mae Calvary. Pallbearers will be Barry Glidewell, Chris Goad, Jerry Sanders, Tyler Hamm, Greg Meeks and David Price. Magnolia Funeral Funeral Home has been honored to care for the family of Mr. Ray D. Glidewell.
