Ralph Samuel Vandiver

Ralph Samuel Vandiver, 74, of Cairo, MS passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Jacinto, MS on November 22, 1941 to the late John Samuel and Tisha Taylor Vandiver. Visitation is scheduled for 5-9 PM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Magnolia Funeral Home and 1 pm until service time Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Rowland Mills Baptist Church. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Rowland Mills Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Franky Smith. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Leigh Vandiver, Chase Price, Wesley Bates, Danny Wayne Trantham, Ray Hickox and Carry Ferrell. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Ralph's memory include his sons: John Vandiver of Gulfport, MS and Jim Vandiver of Cairo, MS; his grandchildren: Sabrina Gentsch and husband Tag and Brandi Vandiver; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Maddie, Easton, and Mila; his sister: Ruby Yoes; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Sandra Lee Berman Vandiver; his daughter: Jeri Janine Vandiver; his brothers: Douglas Vandiver and Hoover Vandiver; and his sisters: Barbara VanDiver and Vida Ree Miller.
