A Celebration of Life for Phil Stanley Haney, 67, of Iuka, MS will be held Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bro. Jason Roberts officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 12:00 Noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Born November 16, 1949, he was of the Baptist faith. Phil's grandparents were the owners of Haney Brothers Bakery in Corinth, MS. He was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and loved fishing with his son and deer hunting. He loved making wood carvings, making furniture, gardening and anything he could do outside. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah Mistretta Haney of Iuka, MS; his son, Shane Phillip Haney and wife Emily of Selmer, TN; his granddaughter; Rosalee Marie "Tree Frog" Haney; his brother, Timothy Preston Haney and wife Claire of Burnsville, MS; his sister, Rebecca Soto and husband Mike of Frederick, Maryland; his father-in-law, Roy Mistretta, Sr. of Slidell, LA; his sister-in-law, Gina Marie Wehner and husband Kenneth of Bush, LA; his brother-in-law, Roy Mistretta, Jr. of Metairie, LA; his nieces and nephews, Amber and Craig, Aubrie, T.J., Kacie , Jeffrey and Stacy, Logan, Mia, Gavin, Jenni and Russ, Mili, Alicia and Ryan, Jakob, Blake, Mollie, Brandy, Rhonda, Devon, Jordyn, Brett, Carlee and Ray, Brianna, Serenity, Christy and Brian, Ashly, Alyssa, Anthony, Aubrey, Ashton, Ava, Bentley, Cali, Randy and Joey, Osborne, Addie, Allan, Stephan, Asher, Lauren and Chris, Maddie and Roy III; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Clyde Haney; his mother, Martha Monroe Haney; his paternal grandparents, Lowren and Jewell Haney; his maternal grandparents, Henry S. and Junie Monroe; his mother-in-law, Joycelyn Mercier Mistretta; his sister-in-law, Rhonda Mistretta and his nephew Andrew.
