Peggy King, 84, of Corinth, MS passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Mississippi Care Center.  She was born in Alcorn County, MS on June 22, 1937 to the late Clifton and Rosa Essary Mills and was a longtime member of Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she loved. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Monday, April 11, 2022 at Magnolia Funeral Home – 72 East and 10:30 am till service time Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church. A service celebrating Peggy’s life will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Keith Hays. Pallbearers include Jonathan Jamerson, Chuck Shea, Greg Shea, Harold Bullard, Mark Wallace, and Jason Cupido.  Interment will follow in Corinth National Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Peggy’s memory include her son, Douglas Ray King and wife Gerry of Nashville, TN; her daughter, Freida King of Ramer, TN; her grandchildren, Ashley Klein (Mitchell), Meagan Crosland (Michael), and Thayer Darling (Josh); her great grandchildren, Beckett Darling, Keller Darling, and Amelia Klein; other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Ray King; and her brother, Lloyd Mills and wife Hilda. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church 5402 N. Shiloh Rd Corinth, MS 38834. Online condolences may be expressed at magnoliafuneralhome.net.
