Patricia "Pat" Cooper

A Celebration of Life Memorial service for Patricia "Pat" Cooper, 76, of Mantachie, formerly of Corinth is set for Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home- EAST. Visitation will be Friday, July 14, 2023 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - EAST. Randy Holt and Dr. Don Elliott will officiate the service. Born October 25, 1946 in Washington, DC; Pat passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Countrywood Manor in Mantachie. She was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church and she retired from Kossuth High School with 30 years of service, where she taught special needs students. Pat has a Bachelors, Masters and Specialist degrees from Ole Miss. During the years she was getting her degrees she drove a Terex dump truck at the Tenn Tombigbee Waterway for Peter Keywitt Construction. Pat loved her family and friends especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, reading, swimming, making jewelry and taking care of her cats. Patricia was a loving and devoted mother always making sure she took time to spend with her children and take care of them, even when she was battling lymphoma.  Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Cooper and wife Deavon; daughter, Tracy Mitchell Austin and husband Joe; 6 grandchildren, Natalie Marie Cooper, Jordan Taylor Cooper, Kathryn Lynn Stanford (Landon), Gary Mack Mitchell (Courtney), Douglas Kyle Mitchell (Brooke) and Sarah Mitchell (Dylan Streff); 6 great grandchildren, Madi Grace Stanford, Rhett Stanford, Aiden Mitchell, Kreed Mitchell, Kase Mitchell and Parks Mitchell; sisters, Elizabeth Famiglitti (Brian) and Kathleen Rice; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her son Scott Cooper; 2 great grandchildren, Job Stanford and Noah Stanford; her father, Ralph Spear; mother, Ruth Richardson Spear and a son-in-law of 27 years, Doug Mitchell. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Cooper.
