Opal Bright

Opal V. Bright, 87, of Corinth, MS, passed away at MS Care Center on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Born in Alcorn County, MS on April 21, 1935 to the late Johnnie and Essie Bobo Crum, Opal graduated from Alcorn County Agricultural High School and was a longtime employee of Mitchell Shirt Factory. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served as church pianist for many years. Opal will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 1-3 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with a service to follow at 3 pm at the church. Bro. Trent Nethery will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home - East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Opal’s memory include her sisters, Edna Bradley Downen and husband Robert, and Betty Davis and husband Milton; and her brother, Gary Crum and wife Paula; other relatives and a host of church family and friends. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Hoover J. Bright; her parents, Johnnie and Essie Bobo Crum; and by her sister, Evelyn Hollins.
