Funeral services for Nickey Dean Curtis, 69, of Corinth are set for Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:30pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2019from 12:30 until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Born November 30, 1949 in Pontotoc, MS., Nickey passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was a retired welder for Packaging Corp. of America with 30 years of service. Nickey was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner who went on many mission and youth trips. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed duck hunting and fishing. Nickey is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nan Franks Curtis of Corinth, MS; son, Franks Curtis and wife Jessica of Corinth, MS; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Pounders and husband Garett of Corinth, MS; grandchildren, Callie Anne Pounders and Ada Marie Curtis; brothers, Breck Curtis and wife Charlotte of Corinth, MS, Guy Curtis of Corinth, MS and Todd Curtis and wife Shellie of Pontotoc, MS;
sisters, Diane Johnson and husband Fred of Corinth, MS and Natalie Curtis of Pontotoc, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, C. D. Curtis; mother, Mary Louise Gooch Curtis; sisters, Patti Blackburn and an infant sister;
maternal grandparents, Quay and Florence Gooch and his paternal grandparents: Guy and Mattie Curtis. Bro. Dennis Smith will officiate the service. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to care for the family of Mr. Nickey Dean Curtis.
