Nelda Louise Talley

Nelda Louise Talley, 72 of Rienzi, MS, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. A family service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Magnolia Funeral Home with interment to follow at Juliette Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Brandon Grissom and Bro. Travis Vanderford will officiate the service. Mrs. Talley was born September 10, 1947 in Burnsville, MS to Homer Jefferson Grissom and Onia Mae Martin Grissom. She was a homemaker and was a member of Juliette Baptist Church. She worked at Magnolia Hosery Mill for many years and retired from Genesco Shoe Company. Louise enjoyed sewing, working in her flowers and spending time with her family. Louise is survived by her husband of 47 1/2 years, James "J.W." Talley of Rienzi, MS; her daughters, Stephanie Talley of Rienzi, MS and Tiffany Bennett and husband Christopher of Corinth, MS; her sister, Joyce Crow (Bozo) of Tishomingo, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Jefferson Grissom; her mother, Onia Mae Martin Grissom; her brothers, J.D. Grissom, Homer Ray Grissom and James Earl Grissom; and her sisters, Christine Vanderford and Clara Bray. Pallbearers will be Brian Grissom, James Mullikin, Bro. Travis Vanderford, Stanley Williams, Billy Talley and Cameron Downs.
