Ned Henry Riddell

A Celebration of Life service for Ned Henry Riddell, 72 of Corinth, MS, will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 2:00 P M at First Baptist Church of Corinth. Interment will follow at Henry Cemetery. Bro. Dennis Smith and Bro. Bill Mason will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 11:00 A M until service time at First Baptist Church. Mr. Riddell died peacefully Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born August 6, 1945 in McNairy County to Henry and Kate Riddell. He was a Vocational Director in the Alcorn County School District and retired after 32 years of service in education. Mr. Riddell enjoyed cheering for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, as a proud alumnus. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle , camping and boating with his family and friends. Ned’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Corinth. Mr. Riddell is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Strickland Riddell; his children, Randy Riddell and wife Amy of Killen, AL and Jonathan Riddell of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Marlie Riddell and Lacee Riddell of Killen, AL; his siblings Billy Riddell and wife Scottie of Corinth, MS, Shirley Browder of Nashville, TN, Carolyn Wilson of Corinth, MS and Judy Kennedy and husband Bill of Corinth, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Kate Riddell. Pallbearers will be Don Bolen, Buddy Cornish, Phil Crum, Carl Graham, Phil Koon, Gary Messener, Eric Moore, Mike McClamrock, Dr. Jimmy Perkins, Sammy Rowsey and Okey Thornton. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Ned Henry Riddell.
