Funeral services for Minnie "Peggy" Wooten, 85, of Corinth are set for 1 pm Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home - SOUTH on HWY 45 South with interment in Sardis Cemetery in Rienzi. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2023 from 5pm-8pm and Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 11 am until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home - SOUTH on HWY 45 South. Bro. Michael Clifton and Bro. Daniel Brookman will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Chris Spencer, Joey Spencer, Brady Spencer, Chad Spencer, Cobey Parvin, Rickey Briggs, Brian Lambert and James Monaghan. Born September 5, 1938 in Bruce, MS., Peggy passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at her daughters home in Corinth. She was a member of Danville Baptist Church and the owner and operator of Peggy's Grill. Peggy bowled for Coca Cola for 40 years, and enjoyed taking care of all her animals. Her favorite past times was when she was with her family no matter if it was celebrating birthdays, spending time with her grandchildren or always having Sunday morning breakfast at her home. Peggy is survived by her sons, Danny Spencer and wife Angie, Roger Spencer and wife Mandy and Allen Wooten and wife Paula; daughter, Teresa Mauney and husband Tom; 12 grandchildren, Chasity Luna (Jeremy), Chad Spencer (Charity), Chris Spencer (Lisa), Casey Corbin (Matt), Candice Brookman (Daniel), Corey Johnson (Brittany), Justin Glissen (Allie), Joey Spencer (Vicki), Jake Spencer (Marisol), Jillian Boss (Levi), Brady Spencer (Kathryn) and Cobey Parvin (Hannah); 21 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; brothers, Bud Brooks (Betty) and Phillip Brooks; sisters, Connie Baswell (Donnie), Cora Latch (Donnie), Betty Howard, Adrion Carter, Brenda Hogue, Dorothy Sticklan and Bobby Borden; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her 2nd husband Cecil Wooten; her 1st husband , Dan Spencer; father, Jeff Brooks; mother, Ottie Talley Brooks; brothers, Kenneth Brooks and Jesse Brooks and her best friends, Liz Lambert, Doris Holcomb and Lou Chambers. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Minnie "Peggy" Wooten.
